DESCRIPTION

University of the Pacific was established in 1851 as the first chartered institution of higher learning in California. Since its founding Pacific has earned widespread recognition for its student-centered approach to education, its many firsts and innovations, and the accomplishments of more than 50,000 living alumni.

  • Application requirements, access to the Pharmacy College Application Service (PHARMCAS) and the supplemental application may be obtained by visiting the University of the Pacific Web site: www.pacific.edu.
  • Students interested in applying to the Doctor of Pharmacy program must apply through PHARMCAS. To be considered for admission applicants must:
    1. be able to complete all prerequisite coursework prior to the date of enrollment in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy,
    2. have a satisfactory grade point average based on all courses attempted,
    3. forward supplemental application materials to the University of the Pacific Office of Admissions.
  • In addition to the above requirements, eligible applicants will be invited to the campus for interviews and must complete a writing sample.
  • Successful applicants must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and aptitude to enter a caring profession.
  • Students are admitted once a year in the fall. Applications and supplemental materials must be submitted by January 1. Applicants are evaluated by the Admissions Committee on potential academic abilities, communication skills, and adaptability of the profession of pharmacy.
