DESCRIPTION
Midwestern University (MWU) is the only institution in the country with colleges of pharmacy in two states: the College of Pharmacy-Glendale (CPG) and the Chicago College of Pharmacy (CCP).- The University operates campuses in Glendale, Arizona (in the metropolitan Phoenix area) and in Downers Grove, Illinois (a western suburb of Chicago).
- MWU also administers two colleges of osteopathic medicine and a college of health sciences. The University is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools.

- The mission of Midwestern University College of Pharmacy - Glendale (MWU-CPG) is to educate and prepare students to assume roles as highly competent and motivated pharmacists. The academic program will cultivate inquisitive, selfdirected, caring pharmacists who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners able to practice successfully in a changing healthcare environment.
- When in practice, these pharmacists will contribute to the health of patients and the well being of society by providing patient focused care. MWU-CPG embodies a spirit of community in which cooperation, trust, and mutual respect are valued elements.
- The 133-acre MWU Glendale Campus includes state-ofthe- art facilities in a serene Southwestern setting.
- Cholla Hall, the pharmacy education center features two lecture auditoria, a pharmacy practice laboratory, a computer workshop laboratory, research laboratories, and multiuse classrooms as well as administrative and faculty offices.
- Sahuaro Hall features a library and computer lab in addition to academic facilities for the medical school and allied health programs.
- Barrel Hall houses student services personnel, student lounges, and a gymnasium and weight room.
- A one- and two-bedroom student apartment complex allows students to take advantage of the academic and social resources of the campus community in a comfortable environment. Believing that well-rounded individuals make more caring health care professionals, Midwestern University offers students a variety of social, academic, and personal enrichment activities.
- Pharmacy students are encouraged to gain hands-on experience through community service initiatives and professional association activities.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
CPG uses the Pharmacy College Application Service PharmCAS for all admissions. This centralized service allows applicants to use a single application and one set of official US and/or Canadian transcripts to apply to multiple Pharm.D. degree programs. Applicants will complete the web-based application and submit official transcripts and PCAT scores directly to PharmCAS. The PharmCAS application deadline is February 1. A college supplemental application is also required. These are obtained from the University Admission Office and the submission deadline is March 1.
To be considered for admission to CPG, a prospective student must:
1. Complete, or be in the process of completing, 57-59 semester hours or 84-87 quarter hours of nonremedial, prerequisite course work from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. The student must earn a grade of C or better in each prerequisite course. The following list of prepharmacy course work must be completed prior to matriculation to CPG:Qtr. hrs
2. Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.
