Washington Pharmacy Technician Requirements
Pharmacy Technician Registration Requirements: [WAC 246-901-030]
- Applicant must achieve a high school diploma or a GED.
- Applicant must provide evidence of successfully completing a
training program. - Applicant must submit proof of HIV/AIDS training.
- Applicant must apply for certification from the board of
pharmacy.
Pharmacy Technician Training Requirements
- Training can be completed one of two ways. [WAC 246-901-030] and [WAC 246-901-050]
- Formal academic program or
- On-the-Job Training
- Training must be completed at a board-approved training program which includes 520 hours of combined lecture, discussion, and testing.
- Of the 520 hours, at least eight hours
must be devoted to studying Washington Pharmacy Law.
