The first HTI campus, High-Tech Institute - Phoenix, was formed in 1982. Twenty-five years later, and HTI operates 9 schools nationwide under the High-Tech Institute brand name. Graduate Placement Assistance

Anytime after graduation, graduates can also take advantage of our continuous Graduate Placement Assistance-at no charge! While HTIcannot guarantee job placement, HTI make every effort to successfully place our students in their career field in the location they seek.

Day and Evening Classes

HTI know that students lead busy lives and that work and other obligations may make it tough for them to go to school. Students need flexibility. In order to accomodate students' needs HTI offer both day and evening classes. Pick the class schedule that best suits students busy lifestyle.

Academic Tutoring

HTI want students to do the best they possibly can, HTI offer tutoring at no cost. Tutoring opportunities available to students include:
  1. One-on-one or group review of study material
  2. Supplemental laboratory time
  3. Review classes held prior to certification and licensure exams

Student Employment

Working part- or full-time during school can help student. If student is interested in finding employment, HTI will help students with job search.

HTI Admission Requirements

  1. a high school graduate or have certification of high school equivalency (GED)
  2. achieved a passing score on our Entrance Assessment Test*
* NOTE: Test is not required if enrollment date is within one year of high school gradation date.

Classroom Procedures

Each course stands alone as a unit of study and is not dependent upon prerequisite training. A student may enter the program at the beginning of any course and continue through the sequence until completion of all courses.

Externship

Following the completion of the coursework, students will have the opportunity to participate in a four-week externship at a clinical site under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. During this time, students will practice the skills learned during the classroom portion of the course. The unpaid externship consists of 160 clock hours, averaging eight hours a day, five days a week.
