DESCRIPTION
The University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH) was founded in 1947 and is one of three 4-year institutions in the University of Hawaii system.
- UHH is located on the Eastern side of the island of Hawaii in the city of Hilo, along the slope of Mauna Kea volcano. UHH is a natural laboratory for the study of the sciences related to marine biology, astronomy, volcanoes, ecology and environment.
- UHH overlooks scenic Hilo Bay, is 10 minutes from the tropical rainforests within the Hamakua coastline that leads to the renown Kona resorts on West Hawaii, and 30 minutes from the Volcanoes National Park, home of Mauna Loa volcano and its chain of active craters.

CURRICULUM
The College of Pharmacy offers a 4-year course of study leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. Entry into this program requires completion of a minimum of 2 years of pre-pharmacy sciences (typically via a pre-pharm program). Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in the sciences or have successfully completed a pre-pharm program of studies are given preference as applicants for enrollment into the program.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- A minimum science GPA of a 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
Completion and submission of the Pharm-CAS application (www.pharmcas.org) and completion and submission of the supplemental application to be sent by UHH COP to applicants meeting the minimum qualifications.
